In Spring 2023, I studied abroad in Italy on a program titled The Culture and Politics of Food. I lived in Rome, Trevignano, and Pulicaro. My days consisted of visiting food markets, the UN Food and Agriculture Organization, farms, and attending food preparation and Italian classes.
Below is a series of sketches I did on forageable Italian plants, based on Dafne Chanaz’s book Il Prato in Tavola.
